Subject: Using A Creative Mix Of Synopsys Licenses To Save $$$

Hi Jhon,

Thanks for the articles the Q, A and fun in ESNUG.

I have a "thrifty" question: Do you know if the HDL-Compiler licenses are
used only during the "read" and "write" in dc_shell or is it sometimes
invoked during "compile"? My thought is of saving some $'s by buying one
HDL-Compiler for several Design-Compiler licenses. Will this work or have
some of your readers found some problems with this approach?

Thanks,
