Subject: Synopsys Library Developer Documentation Too Ambiguous

Hi John,

Keep me anonymous (due to company politics.)

I am a synopsys library developer. I face problems in interpreting the
synopsys documentation correctly. Frequently - I find contradictions
within the documentation. Sometimes - parts of the documentation are not
updated properly. Example:

At one place doc says recovery/removal is not checked by DC.
Another place - they list a variable that can enable compile to
      use recovery/removal information.

Ditto for statetables. I had trouble finding out which synopsys tools
actually use statetables and how. Similarly - whether or not write_timing
writes out conditional delaypaths is unclear. Synopsys says it doesn't
while I see it writing conditional delays in the SDF file.

I wonder why nobody else ever cribbed about synopsys documentation.
Guess everyone just uses solv-it (which, incidentally, is very useful.)
