Hi, John,

The reason why Arcadia cannot do hierarchical extraction with GDSII, is
because the database is flattened by LVS tool possibly Dracula/Calibre.

It is WRONG to say no EXTRACTOR can do this.

Hercules and Star-RCXT supports both cell-level (hierarchical) and
transistor level extraction from GDSII.  This flow is setup at multiple
customer sites and works.

The cell level netlist with cross referencing can be back-annotated to
PrimeTime or any STA tool.
