Editor's Note: Because it's such a new market space, I couldn't find many
hands-on *users* of today's DFM tools to explain & critique this niche.
So I've gone over to the next best thing -- talking to DFM *developers*:

My thinking is that at least the DFM "natives" should be able to give me
a rough picture of today's 27 company DFM landscape. After all, they live
and die DFM; if they don't know it well, then who does?
