SAT, JUNE 2, 3:41 PM -- Last night Hardi Electronics AB put out a press
release that they had been acquired for $24.2 million by Synplicity, Inc.
In the release, Gary Meyers, CEO of Synplicity, stated, "This is a major
strategic move for Synplicity. We will be able to immediately leverage
our existing ASIC verification products (Certify, Synplify Premier,
Identify, and Identify Pro) by selling them together with the Hardi ASIC
prototyping boards."
Meyers went on to say that he expects his combined revenues to exceed
$80 million in 2008.
On the technical side, the press release claims that: "Hardi's ASIC
prototyping systems work seamlessly with Synplicity's Certify and
Synplify Premier synthesis products and its Identify and Identify Pro
RTL debugging solutions."
