Subject: WARNING change_names in DC 2002.05-SP1-1 Makes Random Disconnects!

You might want to make others aware that they should read the Solvnet

document. I just ran into a case where change_names in 2002.05-SP1-1 Design
Compiler produces bad code. The change_names command is actually causing
disconnects to occur throughout my block! Very bad. I'm surprised
Synopsys has not given out a general red alert about this to users given
that I'm sure everyone uses the change_names command at some point in their
flow. It could be that I just haven't seen it yet though or that they are
preparing to send it out as the document ID above had a last changed date of
10/22/02. In any case, I see this as a major problem since the end result
is incorrect logic. Suppossedly the 2002.05-SP1-E1 release fixes this but
I'm still waiting on download instructions for that code before I can
verify that.
