Hi John,

Your DVcon emulation usage share numbers are flat out wrong. You state
that only 16% of commercial emulator users are using Mentor's emulation
products. If we compare your numbers to market share numbers published by
both EDAC and Dataquest, they do not line up at all. Dataquest's latest
numbers and the EDAC 2003 numbers both show Mentor's market share to be
over 35%, more than double what you show.

You say your DVcon numbers were actual 'usage' numbers versus market share
numbers. But John, emulators are high priced products -- we don't see
engineering teams buying emulators and just letting them sit there, so
such a large discrepancy is just not possible.

I know you want to hear from users, not 'marketing drones'...so I sure hope
Mentor's emulation users will help me out and back me up, now that my neck
is stuck way, way out there!
