Hi John,
Just a couple of things about the Titan video. Keep me ANON.
QuickCap is awesome, but woe betide anyone who blindly trusts its numbers
as being 100% accurate. As with all field solvers, check your model, check
it again, and then check it some more. QuickCap is the gold standard (and
deservedly so IMHO) but it can and will cough up bizarre numbers now and
then when you take your eyes off it.
As for the "Titan will just magically read your PDKs" stuff... well this
just goes to show Rajeev hasn't gotten his hands dirty with any hard layout.
I have seen far too many PDKs/pcells floating around that *Virtuoso* will
sometimes choke on. So I kind of wish Magma had introduced a new Titan
format and say "Titan native or OA, your choice" instead of try and be
buddy-buddy with Virutoso.
As Cartman would say, Rajeev needs to stop being such a chickenshit, and
stand up to Virtuoso. He needs to smack Fister in the face and say "that's
enough of your shit, you fuckin' bitch!"
