KA-CHING! -- The big news in DAC 2004 was that 3,127 EDA buyers attended
the conference. That's a 55% gain over the prior year's 2,022 and it even
beat the 2001 numbers for buyers.

DAC's overall total attendance went up by ~1,100 people and they were all
buyers. That is, EDA vendors, Academics, and Guests all pretty much held
steady state at their prior year's numbers.
