Hey, Milan,
I'm hearing rumors that Magma's coming back to DAC and in a big way now.
(Booth, possible party, etc.) Are these rumors true? In February, when
we did that podcast, Rageev was militantly anti-DAC back then. If these
rumors are true, what happened in the last 4 months to change his mind?

Hi, John,
We'll be at DAC this year. We planned, reluctantly, not to exhibit this
year as a cost-saving measure, just as companies in many industries have
cut back on trade show activity in the current economy. But DAC remains
a unique opportunity to see customers, one we didn't want to miss out on
if we could help it. And the DAC organizers worked with Magma and other
exhibiting companies to come up with creative approaches to optimize ROI
for the show.
So yep, we'll be in San Francisco next month.

Hi, Ron,
I'm also hearing rumors that Cadence is returning back to DAC this year
(beyond its cursory "Chip Estimate" booth). Is this rumor true? And if
yes, what caused you to change your mind and what level are you back in
(just a booth? Or a booth and a party? Or booth, party, and more?)

Hi John,
Cadence will be exhibiting at DAC this year, providing several opportunities
for customers and other attendees to meet with us. On the show floor we
will have multiple locations - Cadence Suites (meeting rooms), an ecosystem
booth with key partners, our ChipEstimate.com booth, an OVM booth, we'll be
in the TSMC booth, etc. In addition, we are also the exclusive sponsor of
the User Track and Management Day components of this year's program.
Attending this year did not amount to "changing our mind" because we did
participate last year, although not with a Cadence branded booth property on
the show floor; we did have the ChipEstimate.com booth. This year we had
positive discussions with DAC organizers, and given the benefits associated
with participating at this event in San Francisco, we believe it's good for
both Cadence and our customers.

Thanks, Ron.
So is that the only things or is Cadence doing yet another offsite kidnap
thing, too, this year where you take people away from the DAC floor? (CDNS
did this before.)
